Location: Clarion Inn, Horizon Drive

Did you know that only two men in one hundred seek outpatient help for depression? CEC and the Western Colorado Suicide Prevention Foundation are pleased to offer "Therapy with Men: A Cultural Divide?" to address this very issue!

This all-day intensive training for mental health professionals features two nationally-recognized experts on counseling men:  Matt Englar-Carlson, Ph.D. Professor, Department of Counseling California State University, Fullerton and Co-Director, Center for Boys and Men, and Jarrod Hindman, MS Suicide Prevention Unit Manager Injury, Suicide and Violence Prevention Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Counselors will learn about and discuss pre-conceptions regarding counseling, barriers to receiving services, stressors that contribute to decline in emotional well-being, and counseling techniques that have been proven to be particularly effective with men.

When: Friday, June 20th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Clarion Inn, Horizon Dr., Grand Junction, CO
Cost: $80 if registered by June 14th
