The Art Center with his massive repertoire of piano literature, stretching from the 18th century to the present day. This series covers the ascendency of instrumental music, from the early days of the piano, to advances in instrument building, to composers’ demand for greater expression. In addition to performing live, French will also share his knowledge of music theory, composers’ biographies, and cultural events that shaped the sounds of each era, providing the audience with historical context that enriches the listening experience.
Composers covered include Gottschalk, Hayden, Chopin, Schumann, Albeniz, and Bach, as well as some of French’s own compositions. Join us and discover the transformation of the piano from an intimate setting instrument to one that would come to dominate the solo performance world.

rock band from Denver, CO. The band was formed in December 2014 and has since risen quickly in the Colorado music scene. C&C's first release, Mother of Invention - EP, featured the singles "MetaFor" and "Brainstorm" which helped the group win KTCL 93.3's Demo Derby as well as earn supporting sets in some of Colorado's most well-known and prominent venues.

While the core three musicians (Rick, Helen, & Harry) making up The Scones have been performing, individually and collectively, in the Colorado music scene for some time, since joining forces and building a sound around original compositions and their superb musicianship they have been enjoying packed houses and exceptional response everywhere. With the addition of Melanie Jean (vocal, bass, and flautist extraordinaire) a cool new facet to their sound has been added. Each member brings a unique ingredient that blends seamlessly into a band that that is best described as "Rockin' Americana” and deals out tasty music that touches on blues, soul, jazz, country, and classic rock and roll.

Fueled by high-energy improvisation, the undeniable joy this quartet shares onstage and offstage is reflected by their devout and growing fanbase, the Amorons. Based out of Boulder, CO, the band has a commitment to consistently changing setlists, expanding their already extensive catalog of original material, and stirring the musical gumbo. Along with the deep instrumental blend of guitar, keyboard, trumpet, EWI, bass & drums, all four members are also vocalists. Their astronomic compositions take the listener on an engaging journey while whimsical and captivating lyrics fuel the fire of musical imagery. The quartet, two of which have music degrees from the University of Colorado and University of Miami (FL), create a refreshing experience every night to keep their audience and listeners on their toes.
After selling out their first headlining play at the The Fox Theatre in May of 2017 the band released “S’moramora Volume 2” on all major listening/streaming platforms and has been touring the US extensively while expanding their rapidly growing audience deemed the 'Amorheads & Amorons'.
