Foundations of Yoga - What is Yoga?

Location: Vine Yoga - 216 S. 2nd St. Grand Junction, CO 81501
Details: Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but you weren't sure where to start? Join Erin Christie at Vine Yoga for a fun and informative 4 week series for those new to yoga.  Each class is 1 hour long and includes theory as well as practice.  In this first session, students will learn:
  • The philosophy behind yoga – brief introduction to where yoga came from and how it can help us today.
  • Pranayama – breathing practices to utilize on your mat and everyday life.
  • Basics of Asana – Correct posture:  How to safely enter and exit poses.  Using breath work while in poses to create space and surrender to the pose.
Cost is $13 per session, or $35 for all 4 sessions.  Or for the best value, $50 gets you all four sessions, plus 4 refresher sessions to practice your skills at 5:30 each Wednesday
