A Sneak Peak at a few selected works from
The USBank Fine Art Auction at The Art Center
March 3 – March 17
Preview exhibit sponsored by The Art Center Guild

The Art Center invites new and experienced collectors to view 15 selected works to be auctioned off in May 2, 2014, at The Centers biggest fundraiser of the year.  From modern art to the landscape tradition, this exhibit gives everyone a little taste of the quality and range of pricing this 2014 auction has to offer.

Exhibiting artists include Karol Appel, Brian Baker, Robbie Breaux, Len Chmiel, Julie Glassman, Frank Francese, John Jenkins, Buffalo Kaplinski, Lorna Meaden, Gailen Schmidt, Daniel Sprick, Dianna Woods, Greg Vigil and a few other surprises.

On display will be a large-scale Daniel Sprick painting that is up for auction from a collector in the Aspen area.  It is similar in vein to the still life work permanently on display at the Denver Art Museum.  Those interested can see Sprick talking about this series on YouTube by googling Daniel Sprick interview. This painting is not your regular bowl of fruit.  His still lifes have a distinctive air about them and impacting in mood, always exact but escaping and easy read.  Daniel Sprick will have an exhibition of portraits at The Denver Art Museum in 2015.  We encourage Western Slope Collectors to consider owning and bumping up their collection value with this work by Daniel Sprick on view through March 17.

We also have Len Chmiel's work for the first time in many years. He has given us a work for auction in-between his commitments at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles and the Coors Stock Show in Denver.

At the Fine Art Auction everyone wins.  The Art Center is able to acquire much needed fundraising dollars, artists get exposure and help to support the galleries that exhibit their works,  and most of all collectors win big every year by purchasing great works of art.
