Indie Lens Pop-Up
Film Screening

Add to your calendar
Date: February 22, 6:00 pm
Continues Until:
Location: Central Library Community Room, 5th and Grand
Details: PBS-sponsored Indie Lens Pop-Up, in conjunction with Mesa County Libraries, presents a free community screening of the acclaimed documentary The Bad Kids.

This event will take place at the Central Library Monument Room and will include a wine and appetizer reception starting at 6:00pm.
The film will begin at 6:30pm.

The Bad Kids: Located in an impoverished Mojave Desert community, Black Rock Continuation high School is an alterative for at-risk students with little hope of graduating from a traditional high school. It's their last chance. This coming of age story shows how extraordinary educators and talented students combat the crippling effects of poverty.

There will be a post-film discussion featuring staff and students from our local alternative high school, R-5.
