The Radio Room Presents Anne McCue
Add to your calendar
Date: May 20, 7:30 pm
Location: KAFM Radio Room
Details: Born in Sydney, Australia into a family of singers, Anne McCue's fate was sealed from the word """"""""go."""""""" Despite everything from the Beatles to Nat King Cole filling the air of her childhood, McCue attended the University of Technology in Sydney, earning a degree in film production and studies. With diploma in hand, she began freelancing as a theater and film reviewer for local newspapers. A move to Melbourne launched her musical career. ""This latest release """"""""Blue Sky Thinkin'"""""""" from McCue, while relevant today, could have been a hit 60 years ago. Actually 12 hits. From the start, the instrumentation and arrangements take me into to the small jazz clubs of that age. The songs sound like they should be standards you’ve known, and loved, forever. But don’t mistake this CD for a “period piece”. There is quite a modern groove.""--No Depression Magazine. Tickets $15 in advance $18 at the door  Tickets available online or by calling 970-241-8801.
