The KAFM Radio Room Presents The Haymarket Squares March 14th!

Armed with tight vocal harmonies, bluegrass instruments and a heaping dose of righteous anger, The Haymarket Squares are Arizona's premier purveyors of punkgrass. Known for long sets and short songs, a typical Haymarket Squares show features ecstatic dancing, blindingly fast mandolin, and broad smiles. Who knew changing the world (or at least singing about it) could be so much fun? Blending acoustic instruments, fast tempos, rich harmonies and rabble-rousing lyrics, The Haymarket Squares have been bringing punkgrass to audiences since 2009. “They’re smart. They’re funny. They’re raging against the machine in four-part harmony,” says the Arizona Republic of the group’s incisive lyrics and boundless live energy.  Doors open at 7p. Tickets are $12 in advance $15 at the door. click here for tickets.

KAFM Life Long Learning hosts The KAFM Salon

KAFM Lifelong Learning brings a new opportunity for 2017, the KAFM Salon. Join us February 8th for this community building endeavor. This is a group meeting once a month to have a discussion about topics affecting our lives today. This is not about convincing others or about "being right" but a chance to share ideas about current topics with an open mind and an open heart, to welcome diversity in our community and learn from our own community. Held on second Wednesdays of every month at 6:30pm in the KAFM Radio Room. Topics can include compassion, will power,"pay it forward", listening, diversity.

A Thank You to KAFM from Rogue Valley!

"We performed in Bozeman, Snohomish, Seattle, Portland, Bend, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Grand Junction, and Denver. The drives were long but scenic. The sleep was sporadic but energizing. The drinks were strong and our spirits were high. We look forward to more shows in more places and are grateful to each and every person who comes to our show. We had someone at our San Francisco show who flew from Salt Lake City to see us perform - that's dedication!  A special thank you to Lance Allen and everyone at KAFM who made our show at the Radio Room the unequivocal highlight of the tour!"
