Location: The Historic Avalon Theatre
Details: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a debilitating disease that affects approx 2 million people in the U.S., and which has devastated a local Grand Junction family (the Gelpis).. Friends and family of the Gelpis are showing a critically acclaimed/award winning documentary movie about CFS called ""UNREST"". All proceeds will go to Open Medicine Foundation, a non-profit organization that is funding research to find a cure for the disease. Presentations after the movie will be made by representatives of OMF and the Gelpi family. The movie is $20, and includes donated beer and wine. For an additional $15, you can attend an after-movie reception at the Springhill Suites that will include food catered by the Rockslide Brew Pub and Cafe Sol, and additional donated beer and wine. Doors open at 2:30; the movie is at 3:20; Sunday April 22nd at the Historic Avalon Theatre.; tickets available at the Avalon box office or thru Monumentaltix.com
