Sangha on Tuesday, May 20 with Susie Harrington Awakening the Boundless Heart - Equanimity In the Fourth Talk in this Series, Susie will explore the balance, ease, and capacity of the mind imbued with equanimity. Equanimity is the quality of mind that allows us to stand in the midst of the vicissitudes of life and continue to meet the world with an open and loving heart. With equanimity we can hold the big picture while touching deeply into the moment. The discussion will include recognizing the qualities of equanimity, what it offers us, and how to further this experience of freedom in our day to day lives. Please consider an offering of gratitude/dana for Susie's teaching and travel expenses from Moab. Mark your calendars for a day long retreat with Sarah Heffron on Saturday, June 28.

suit season! But are you tired of doing endless crunches and not achieving results? Learn the essential tools yoga can offer to achieve a toned and healthy core for summer and all year around. This 2 week workshop is only $25.
Week 1 - What exactly is the 'core'? A healthy midsection is more than six-pack abs. Learn how to access your deepest abdominal muscles to achieve a toned, lean stomach. Class will include a quick review of the different abdominal muscles and then an introduction to poses that access those muscles. We will cover correct alignment in the poses and how to use your breath to engage the abdominal muscles.
Week 2 - Challenge your core! We will continue to explore poses that work our core section but will look at more advanced poses to create stability and increased strength in our midsection. Class will include continued focus on correct alignment and introduction to more challenging poses such as arm balances and twists. We will end with a power yoga sequence to really burn some calories and get ready for summer activities.
