2019 Summer Adventure

Join a crew of expert paleontologists as we search for fossils in the previously unexplored depths of the Colorado River’s Ruby-Horsethief more...0 Canyons in McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area. Crews will spend two days hiking side canyons looking for fossils and learning about the geological and paleontological history of the region. Participants will enjoy a night at Colorado Canyons Association’s private Catalpa Camp with expertly prepared meals featuring local ingredients and wine. Hiking and some light paddling involved.

The Houston Press review states Dawn & Hawkes are “outstanding musicians individually, and they are absolutely magical together. Their harmonies and chemistry speak for themselves, and audiences recognize from the first note that they are something very special.” Their initial duo effort, Golden Heart, climbed to No. 25 in Billboard’s Folk chart and landed at No. 2 in iTunes singer-songwriter albums. They have performed with Alison Krauss & Dan Tyminsky, Patty Griffin, Old 97s, Robert Earl Keen, and many others. Their second album titled The Other Side chronicles the life paths they've traveled and will be released this summer.
