O’Keeffe Chautauqua hosted by Museums of Western Colorado, Two Rivers Chautauqua, and Colorado Mesa University. All are welcomed, free admission, light refreshments will be served.
Georgia O’Keeffe is recognized as an iconic figure who represents an essential part of the American Dream, and one of the most original painters America has ever produced. Her vivid visual vocabulary – sensuous flowers, bleached bones, red sky and white clouds – has had a lasting influence on American art in this century. Georgia O’Keeffe will be portrayed by Nan Colton, a playwright, director, storyteller, actress, and arts educator who has performed and lectured professionally on stages throughout South Africa, Great Britain, and the United States.
