Announcing the 14th annual Super Rad High School Art Show Super Rad announces the fourteenth annual Super Rad High School Art Show, opening to the more...0 public Saturday April 6, at 11am, and through the week M-F 11am-7pm at the Mesa Mall across from Bath & Body Works. The gallery will display art from high school student’s grades 9-12 from District 51 schools. Exhibit will remain open until Saturday, April 13, with the award ceremony and reception beginning at 6pm. An awards ceremony for the student art work will be held at 7:00 pm. Students will be presented with 1st place trophies for each category, a Best in Show, and People’s Choice award decided by patron votes. A community art project will be ongoing in the gallery space during the exhibition. Sponsors include Grand Junction Commission on Arts & Culture, and Loki Outerwear, and MJ Thomas Photography.

Edesia's VIP Luncheon is set for 11 am to 1 pm in the Vineyard Ballroom; the main event featuring food, libations, chef demos and live Dixieland music happens from 2 to 5 p.m. Edesia is presented by Alpine Bank with St. Mary's Medical Center and Peach Street Distillers to benefit MarillacHealth, which serves uninsured and under-insured patients in Mesa County. The Silent Auction located in the Orchard Room will offer a wide selection of items for bid, ranging from hand crafted goods to deluxe lodging to live plants from local florists. Tickets are available online at www.edesiapalisade.com through a secure PayPal portal or in person at Wine Country Inn. Cost for the VIP Luncheon is $125 per person. The afternoon main event General Admission tickets are $50 per person. Chef Kassera and his culinary team will demonstrate how to prepare some of the dishes featured at the VIP Luncheon at 3:30 pm in the new Caroline's Restaurant. Zephyr Stage, the resident theatre company at Cavalcade in Fruita, more...0 Colorado, has been invited to present its original one-man play, Multitudes, about the poet Walt Whitman as part of the festivities celebrating Whitman’s 200th birthday. The play, written by Zephyr Stage founders Kim and Valerie Nuzzo, and featuring Kim as the father of American poetry, will be performed on June 1, 2019 at the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site, in South Huntington, New York.
