The festival is November 9-11 with a mix of different levels of yoga, meditation , panel discussions, speakers and music and dance Nov 9th -Speaker(Jacob Moore ) and music starting at 6pm Yoga sat 8-5 and Music starting at 6:30 Yoga sun 8-3 with music starting at 4 below is the press release For Immediate Release: 1st Annual Grand Valley Yoga Fest for Suicide Awareness • Hope and Healing for our community Where: Palisade High School, Palisade, CO When: November 9-11, 2018 Our Mission is to break the mold and shed the social stigma surrounding suicide. We will show the benefits Yoga can have on mental health while raising awareness around suicides among our youth, veterans and residents throughout the Grand Valley. Over a 2 day period, there will be 24+ offerings of a variety of yoga classes ranging from Beginners, Advanced, Iyengar, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra, Inversions, Vinyasa, Gentle, Restorative, Meditation, Bollywood Dance, Yoga Philosophy, and more. Ticket holders will be able to build a schedule of classes based on their interests. Also there will be free offerings and donation based Musical events, traditional Indian Dance, Panel discussions, and a Keynote speaker throughout the weekend. We are very excited to offer a FREE Youth ONLY class on both Saturday and Sunday and a FREE Veterans, Active Military, and 1st Responders ONLY class on Sunday, three very vulnerable populations at risk. The Grand Valley Yoga Fest started with 2 local yoga teachers, Elizabeth Whitt and Lori Raper, who want to make a difference in our community. Lori is also a teacher with District 51 (D51) and has been in the trenches with the students and has seen the impact of suicide on our youth first hand. The Grand Valley Yoga Fest is a non-profit. 100% of the proceeds will go to D51 schools and suicide awareness programs. Every week they cook and feed 100s of homeless in the Grand Junction area. PET PICTURE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, November 9th.
