The CMU men's hockey team will donate all gate proceeds to HomewardBound's Pathways Family Shelter campaign. The Pathways Family Shelter, set more...0 to open in Summer 2019, will have 80 beds for families and single women experiencing homelessness. Pathways will have onsite healthcare, children's library and study area, job training and a commercial kitchen. In-kind and cash donations will also be accepted at the game.

On December 3-4, Climate Reality is presenting 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves. Hosted by Vice President Al Gore and featuring an all-star lineup of political icons, artists, scientists, and more, 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves will travel the globe for 24 straight hours with thought-provoking conversations, rousing musical performances, and inspiring stories. I’m hosting a viewing party and inviting people who – just like you – are concerned about the health of our families and communities to watch a segment of the program with me and join millions worldwide in urging our leaders to press forward on the climate fight. Fossil fuels might be the greatest threat to public health worldwide, driving a climate crisis and threatening the health of our families and communities. Extreme weather is on the rise, infectious diseases are spreading, and our food and water supplies are increasingly at risk. And yet, far too few people are talking about it. That’s why we’re sounding the alarm on the clear and present danger that fossil fuels and climate change pose to the health of families and communities across the planet. This year’s 24 Hours of Reality will highlight just what’s at stake, and show us how there are already solutions underway to help us transition to a cleaner, brighter, and healthier future for us all. Plus, it’s going to be a great program and a lot of fun to watch together. We’ll hear the modern tales of how citizens, scientists, entrepreneurs, and local leaders are creating practical solutions that work. I hope you’ll join us! We'll walk you thru it, step by step. Everything will be provided for you, just come in, relax and paint with us! The Roice-Hurst Humane Society envisions a unified Western Slope society that values the life of every companion animal; where no healthy, treatable, and adoptable dog or cat is euthanized; and where every pet find a safe, loving and permanent home. Register today to help raise money for this great cause! OR you can paint your pet's silhouette on the CO Flag if painting your pet's portrait is a little too intimidating at first. This is an easy and still fun option since it's still your pet! PET PICTURE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, November 30th. What you need after registering: * MUST let me know if you are doing the pet portrait or the pet flag in the email. * Your favorite picture of your pet! Any pet! Horse, Dog, Cat, Bird, Turtle, even the family fish! Head-shots of your pet are typically the easiest and have the best result! Don't worry about the background in your photo, you can add any background you want when its painting time! We will only sketch the pet. * Email that photo along with your name and the date of the event to CreativeCanvasParty@Gmail.com. Do this for each person coming (if paying for friends).
