Broadway musical is that of type — does the performer’s gender, age, race, and look match that of the character? It doesn’t matter if you can sing the hell out of that character’s songs — if one or more of those type tags don’t match up, your chance of being cast is “unlikely”. But for this cabaret, we’re singing those songs that we’ll never get hired to sing. Boys will sing girls’ songs; girls will sing boys’ songs – and that’s just the beginning! The Best Party in Town returns again to Charlie Dwellington’s for a night of powerful singing and hilarious results!

Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon and Megan Walsh – touch the hearts of a global audience with the centuries-old Irish tradition of telling stories through song: stories of the land, stories of love, and stories of dancing that bring a piece of Ireland to audiences everywhere. Joined by a stunning band of two pipers, two drummers, traditional step-dancers, and backing vocalists, CELTIC WOMAN celebrates Ireland’s rich musical and cultural heritage and combines the finest musical talent with epic stage productions to present a unique, inspiring live experience. The band, favorites on PBS stations, transports audiences to Ireland with the siren call of Orinoco Flow, the playful energy of Teir Abhaile Riu, the power of the uplifting anthem You Raise me Up, the soaring harmonies of Danny Boy, and a bagpiper-led Amazing Grace. This magical evening underscores why CELTIC WOMAN has been described as being “Riverdance for the voice.”

widely popular today as they were when they first danced into the music scene 40 years ago. Harry Wayne Casey – KC for short – developed a unique fusion of R&B and funk, with a hint of a Latin percussion groove, giving us an impressive string of hits like “GET DOWN TONIGHT”, “THAT’S THE WAY (I LIKE IT)” and “SHAKE YOUR BOOTY”. With sales of over 100 million records, nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, KC and the Sunshine Band was one of the most progressive bands of the 70’s and is credited with changing the sound of modern pop music! KC and the Sunshine Band play over 100 live shows annually, circling the country and playing dates regularly throughout Europe, Australia and South America. In 2008, KC celebrated 35 years entertaining us, writing songs, performing around the world and he has no intention of stopping. KC’s songs have stood the test of time and you can ask any one of the thousands of fans who spend the entire concert on their feet, dancing and shaking their booty.
