Alex Forsett

Host of The Electric Desert, Alex Forsett (aka Dakota Lightning) has been a DJ on KAFM since 2020. Before that Alex served on the Board of Directors for KAFM, as well as on KAFM's Community Advisory Board. Alex has lived in Grand Junction since 2011, and is a 3rd generation Coloradan. Alex has a Borgi named Odin, and three chickens at his downtown GJ home. Alex has served as the Western Colorado Regional Director for Rocky Mountain PBS since 2015. He enjoys floating the river, hiking in Dominguez Canyon, and skiing at Powderhorn.
