partial lunar eclipse with entertainers from the upcoming staging of Eclipse the Musical, written by Scott Betts, adapted from Eclipse, the first novel of Dalton Trumbo (the man in the bathtub on Main Street). Dalton Trumbo was born in 1905 and grew up in Grand Junction. He wrote this novel in his 20s about a fictionalized version of the town. Lowell School, the venue for this location, was built about the same time as the novel was written. 100% of booth sales and donations go to the Horizon Drive BID Chapter of Optimist International. The goals is to continue to provide after school art programming with Wunder Club and to open an art gallery for kids living on and near Horizon Drive. The Poe Project is a month-long festival springing off with Poe Week from October 1st through 7th annually, culminating on the date of Edgar Allan Poe's death. We invest in our community by giving a portion of the proceeds from each and every event to the local non-profit of the sponsor’s choice. The Poe Project is spearheaded and presented by Geek Parties of the Grand Valley. The sponsor of Eclipse Carnival is the Mesa County Historical Society. The mission of the Mesa County Historical Society is to ensure the future of the complete and ongoing history of Mesa County, Colorado by growing the active organizations holding that history and preserving and providing access to the records of that history.

If the phrase “male a cappella group”

conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses... think again. Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch. They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fanbase and a long list of accomplishments including 2 RIAA Gold Certified albums, over 1.5 million concert tickets sold, over 1 billion streams on Pandora, and over 2 million albums sold worldwide. Straight No Chaser is the real deal, the captivating sound of nine unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense... and with a sense of humor.

Christopher Crompton is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, writer and poet from the West Midlands, UK.
His work is created from a diverse palette of influences that cross genres and cultures. His distinctive voice and guitar playing draw these threads together into a unique sound and presentation. The subjects he addresses are equally heterogeneous, from the personal to the political, from the Stoic to the spiritual, from the everyday to the extraordinary. In every corner of experience, Christopher seeks the sensibilities that render the individual universal.
His words and music set out to make you feel something. They challenge but carry compassion. They empathise, lament, celebrate and encourage.
