These former 1st grade boys learn the importance of listening with understanding and empathy. Asking silly questions and not paying attention is bad enough, but treating others poorly or lying to friends can really be a problem! By listening, asking questions, caring for others and being honest, life at school becomes much better.

These former 1st grade students address the Habit of Mind of managing impulsivity. Too much talking at school in the classroom or the hallway can be a problem! They learn that by managing their impulsivity and being better listeners the days at school can go much smoother.

Week # 1 - Arianna & Lydia This was the very first story produced by the Blue Zucchinni. These girls were in 1st grade at the time, and their story is about one of the 16 Habits of Mind. This story focuses on the importance of being persistent. Work at school with spelling and math becomes easier with practice.
