Very few musicians of any stripe so personify a musical genre as completely as Tony Furtado embodies Americana roots music. Tony is an evocative and soulful singer, a wide-ranging songwriter and a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist adept on banjo, cello-banjo, slide guitar and baritone ukulele who mixes and matches sounds and styles with the flair of a master chef (he’s also an accomplished sculptor, but that’s another story). All of the music of America is in Tony’s music. Relix hit the nail on the head when writing of Tony: “True talent doesn’t need categories.”
Tony has performed throughout the world at top venues and appeared at such prestigious music festivals as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Jazz Aspen, Kerrville Folk Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Sisters Folk Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and countless others. “I love playing live,” he says. “All my energy is focused on the love of playing music and rolling with the moment. It’s a give and take from the audience to the stage, and back. And the music that is created is something that otherwise might not occur without that flow.”

THE TOASTERS

due to their longevity and adherence to core principles, the Toasters are held to be one of most influential ska bands out there. Their lean, mean ska machine has galvanized audiences and musicians alike with their embrace of the Jamaica-born pop music style that overwhelmed England in the 1960's, migrated to America in the early 1980s, and went global in the 1990s. The hallmark Toasters sound sits at the nexus of Reggae, Jazz, Punk and Soul and is the musical equivalent of a brass knuckle-duster.

just what to expect. These would be the band’s first recordings with new drummer Tony Leone (Ollabelle, Levon Helm), their first since the departure of founding bassist Mark “Muddy” Dutton, and their first time producing themselves. But as anybody who’s been following the CRB can attest, this is a band that thrives on the unexpected.

unique, electrifying blend of analog and digital sounds they call “Dream Rock.” Dancey break beats, symphonic guitar riffs, powerful builds, and face melting jams define the increasingly popular genre.
Containing both heavy rock and soft melodic styles, the groups most stand out feature is their ability to capture the crowd’s attention while creating heartfelt tension accompanied by groovy dance beats that release unimaginable amounts of energy. There is an energetic joy and purification that comes from seeing an Evanoff show….
Evanoff consists of its three core members: JJ Evanoff (Guitar), Jake Hall (Drums) and Brennan Forrester (Keys). In just under two years the band has performed at an array of major national festivals including Electric Forest, Euphoria and Gem & Jam, Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road, Vertex, Sonic Bloom, and Arise. The trio has been hitting the road hard over the past two years creating major markets in the southwest, midwest and northeastern US. Their best markets reside in both Boulder and Denver where the band headlines/supports prestigious venues such as The Fox Theatre, Boulder Theater, The Bluebird, Cervantes, and The Ogden.
