for voice and piano, a concerto for piano and orchestra (which she performed with the National Repertory Orchestra and the New Haven Symphony Orchestra), “Music Stories” for children, a musical drama in progress, and tonight’s program of various musical forms, including some dazzling paraphrases of well-known American standards.
Her interpretive talent spans styles ranging from Classical and Contemporary to Broadway.
Throughout her career, Stacey has tried to help others by performing for social causes and not-for-profit organizations. Some of these include: the International Aids Society, The National CARIH Foundation, the New Haven Symphony & Chorale, the Namaste Foundation, Tower One Assisted Living Center, the National Urban League, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, The ASCO Foundation to Conquer Cancer, and The Albert Einstein Doctor’s Symphony. After 9/11, she established a fund with the United Way of America and performed several recitals to benefit families of the tragedy. Notable performances have included three recitals at Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, Gracie Mansion, the Masters Series in St. Catherine’s, Canada, Five Burroughs Festival, and Palacio de Bellas Artes.
Orchestras on all seven continents have engaged Stacey to perform as the guest soloist. In Tbilisi, Georgia and in Moscow, Stacey played repertoire that had not yet been brought to these cities such as Maurice Ravel’s Concerto in G and Manuel DeFalla’s Nights In the Gardens of Spain.
A Steinway Artist since 1992, Stacey takes tremendous pride and joy in sharing music with audiences.
