Amy Kline takes a new, sculptural approach to creating lamps in high-fire porcelain on the potters’ wheel. This is a great way to bring fine more...0 art and sculpture into the home in a functional way. Amy will start with the initial drawing/design and progress to measurements, weights, and use calipers to fit forms together post-firing. Amy uses lots of color and texture in cone 10 reduction.

This two-day workshop will provide an overview of cold wax in an atmosphere that encourages a sense of play and discovery. You’ll learn to more...0 explore and create with cold wax, oil paint, and acrylic (which can be used on the first layer to paint in a design). Cold wax medium provides rich texture, depth, and discovery. Layers can be covered up with more layers of wax and oil paint as the artist’s composition evolves. No experience necessary; students of all skill levels are welcome, and will walk away with two completed paintings.

RMPBS Kids Fun Fest is created to celebrate the Children and Families in our community: the Grand Valley and surrounding areas. The purpose of Kids more...0 Fun Fest is to have all those in attendance, participate in engaging, educational, and inspiring activities, that creates a fun environment with those that make up and are a part of our community. Kids will have the opportunity to hang out with Clifford the big red Dog, and will also have the opportunity to meet one of our “Super Why!” friends, Alpha Pig. With over 30 booths scheduled to be present the sponsored by our local businesses and organizations, we strive to create a fun filled day, the reminds our family and children about the core of our community.

A Birthday Celebration and Farewell Drag Show

Legendary local drag performer Gina D'Licious is turning forty this weekend and wants to celebrate with the LGBTQ community of the Grand Valley more...0 with her final performance as a Grand Junction resident before her move to Denver. Performing with her on Baron's stage will be Coco Jem Holiday, Donatella Mysecrets, Anastacia Monee, and Ruby Valentine. No cover, ages 21 and up.

Our pets are our family, they deserve a hand painted portrait! Come on out and paint your pet while simultaneously supporting Graceland Animal Rescue more...0 & Sanctuary! Part of the proceeds will go to Graceland, which is not a Facility but rather a Foster-based Rescue that relies on Foster Homes within our Grand Junction community to offer temporary sanctuary to the dogs until permanent, loving homes can be found. REGISTRATION & PICTURE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Tuesday, August 7th What you need after registering: * Your favorite picture of your pet! Any pet! Horse, Dog, Cat, Bird, Turtle, even the family fish! Head-shots of your pet are typically the easiest and have the best result! Don't worry about the background in your photo, you can add any background you want when its painting time! We will only sketch the pet. * Email that photo along with your full name and a good contact phone number to CreativeCanvasParty@Gmail.com. Do this for each person coming (if paying for friends). Please put the date of the event in the subject line of the email. One pet per canvas as 2 pets can take too long to paint.
