He has eight albums to his credit, all indie releases, beginning with 2000’s South of Town. His songwriting, which focuses on life in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, is widely respected and has been compared to the work of Texas greats such as Guy Clark, John Prine, and Townes Van Zandt.

Drawing upon an array of influences including Bob Dylan, Bill Withers, John Prine, and Otis Redding, Lee garnered critical praise -- and chart success -- with albums like his eponymous 2001 Blue Note debut and 2011's Mission Bell, the latter of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. While Dylanesque folk remains his creative touchstone, Lee has branched out over time, delving into orchestral pop on his 2016 concert album Live at Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony and experimenting with contemporary R&B on 2016's Spirit.

The Jaden Carlson Band will be performing LIVE in the KAFM Radio Room on Thursday, September 5th. Their newest album, “Keep It Movin’”, taps into their unique chemistry to develop their blend of jam, funk, hip-hop, electronic, and jazz. The Jaden Carlson Band is comprised of guitarist, volcalist, keyboardist, and producer, Jaden Carlson, keyboardist Chris Beck, drummer Eric Imbrosciano and bassist Fred Reisen. Jaden is the youngest musician to play on the Red Rocks Stage at age 11, with Michael Franti and Spearhead, and again the next night with Blues Traveler. She has also had numerous sit-ins with Umphrey’s McGee, The Revivalists, Lettuce, Dumpstaphunk, The Main Squeeze, The Nth Power, Twiddle, The Werks, TAUK, SOJA, Zoogma, The Motet, Dopapod, members of Snarky Puppy, Vulfpeck, Big Gigantic, The String Cheese Incident, and many more.

Tour de Rock, modeled after the ever-popular "Tour de Fat", this event encourages participants to use the 10th Street bike path that connects the CMU campus to downtown. Enjoy a variety of food trucks, beer garden, a limited edition Maverick Ale, and three hours of live music at 4th and Main Street! 2019 Tour de Rock will feature AJ Fullerton and Hunker Down! The Desert's Edge Tri Festival brings you two days of racing, a weekend of camping with other triathletes and their fans, and a fun end to the more...0 Colorado Tri Season. Desert's Edge weekend includes your choice of DIRT Tri, DIRT SUP, or DIRT Sprint tri's on Saturday, your choice of ROAD Olympic, ROAD SUP, or ROAD Sprint tri's on Sunday! Camping is available right at the race site, just 200 yards from the start and finish line. Enjoy great post-race food, and a fun final tri weekend of the 2019 season. All just a few short hours from Denver and Salt Lake City!
