The Art Center of Western Colorado is bringing an unforgettable night of art and comedy to the Grand Junction. Featuring a stellar lineup of

comedians and an exclusive tour of our latest exhibition, this is an event you won’t want to miss! The night kicks off with a special Comedians Talk Art Tour, where guests will join The Art Center's Curator, Matthew Jones, alongside comedians BK Sharad and Sammy Anzer for an educational and comedic twist on art tours. Comedians say the quiet part out loud and aren't afraid to show how little they know about art. This makes for a tour that's more relaxed, more approachable, a little silly, and unlike any other. Join Matthew and our comedians for an intimate exploration of our newest exhibition, Contemporary Masters – The Wednesday Group, featuring artwork by Daniel Sprick, Mitch Caster, Emily Olson, and many others. Limited tickets available (20 spots only). You might've seen BK Sharad at the Netflix is a Joke Festival or in one of his viral stand-up videos with millions of views. His unique perspective—shaped by his experience as a former emo, hockey-playing, first-generation Indian millennial—delivers a fresh and hilarious outlook on life. Sammy Anzer is a national touring headliner who has performed everywhere from Aspen to the Apollo. He's written for Kevin Hart's LOL Network and performed alongside Kevin Nealon, DL Hughley, and Maria Bamford. Rooster Magazine in Denver describes his performances as blending "joy with contemplation," offering insightful societal commentary that inspires reflection while maintaining an uplifting atmosphere. Tickets: •Comedians Talk Art Tour + Comedy Show: $30 (Limited to 20 tickets)- https://canvas.gjartcenter.org/events/177 •Comedy Show ONLY: $25 https://canvas.gjartcenter.org/events/176 Comedians Talk Art Tour with Sammy Anzer & Art Center Curator Matthew Jones: 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM Cocktail Hour: 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Must be 21+ to purchase alcohol) Stand-Up Comedy Show: 6:30 PM – 6:45 PM ($30) The Art Center of Western Colorado 1803 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501 This event is expected to sell out fast. of a life and career in the entertainment world. She began writing songs and performing live whenever she had the chance. A graduate of the University of South Alabama, Faith’s drive to touch and change the world resulted in a bit of a detour when she earned a Nursing degree but music and performing won out. Trained in guitar, piano, flute, and cello this vocalist, songwriter, and musician, joined forces with Music Industry veterans Jason Pennock as co-writer/producer and Camille Barbone as artist developer. The team is preparing Faith for mainstream music industry success with a unique brand of Alternative Pop music. Faith has gigged throughout the U.S, performing in clubs, and festivals throughout the West, Midwest, and in the Rocky Mountain area.

JUNE WRITER'S NIGHT
ChatGPT as a Tool for Writers: An Honest Conversat
6:00am-7:30pm, 1803 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501
In this era of rapidly developing artificial intelligence, creatives across the world are sounding the alarm. Screenwriters, copywriters,

journalists, poets, and novelists are all watching a familiar story unfold: a world that already undervalues their labor is racing to replace it with something cheaper, faster, and altogether less human. Like so many technological shifts before it, the ringing of the AI bell cannot be unrung. That leaves those of us doing the deeply human work of writing with a choice: resist or adapt. Yet, perhaps, there is a third path that will allow us to engage with this new technology critically and creatively. Join us for an honest, writer-centered conversation about ChatGPT as an instrument we may choose to use with care, to fine-tune our own unique vision, rather than as a replacement for the creative process. Together, let us explore what this technology can do: spark ideas, assist with structure, untangle messy drafts, and provide invaluable (if somewhat dubious) research assistance. And we’ll discuss just as candidly what ChatGPT and similar AI assistants cannot do: capture lived experience, create emotional truth, or tell your unique and authentic story. Held at The Art Center in Grand Junction.
