The Librarians - Clifton
Add to your calendar
Date: April 23, 1:00 pm-3:00pm
Continues Until:
Location: Clifton Branch, 3270 D 1/2 Road, Clifton, CO 81520
Details: Librarians emerge as first responders in stewarding intellectual freedom, reading, and the First Amendment Rights. The Krause List targets 850 books, triggering sweeping book bans across the U.S. at an unprecedented rate. Through their stories, we see librarians not just as information providers, but as protectors of trust, democracy, and civic connection. Following the film, participants will gather to share their own library stories and reflect on how public spaces hold communities together. This conversation invites us to consider the role of access, dialogue, and civic institutions in shaping informed communities. Light meal featuring sandwiches, salads, and beverages. Seating is first-come, first-served.
