Junkyard Twang

Sunday (2nd) • 3pm-6pm

Paul Rolland

Started in 2002 with a rockin' alt.country format, Junkyard Twang is now a roots-based Americana variety show that always features ALL NEW RELEASES and NO REPEATS (from the same album). More bang for your listening buck! It's creatively programmed into 6 sets (roots rock, junkyard twang, shamblin', alt.gospel, ladies choice, singer-songwriter); starts loud  and upbeat and gradually mellows into what is essentially folk music. Expect to hear rock, blues, country, trad jazz, bluegrass, old timey, gospel, folk, and everything in between. Junkyard Twang is designed for those radio listeners who like familiar American music but are adventurous enough to want to hear the newest stuff out there.

I'm a retired old guy. Still have hair, teeth, and most of my wits. Member of the music bureau. Good ear. Decent guitarist. Dabbling mandolinist. Live music hound, any style. If they can play, I'll go. Really admire bands/performers that are excellent musically but also progressive and original. Very attentive to young musicians as they're often the source of what's next. Always looking for great singer-songwriters... just a person and a guitar... what more do you need?
